Ok so I have what looks like dead mushrooms on some of my rocks. Since they don't close up at night I assume they are dead, rock came like this, though I've recently discoverd when I put a moonlight over it part glows orange, anybody know what this is?

Other thing is probably an anenome of some type. I has it's stalk part in the rock completely all the time and has sort of a small disk with one ring of small little arms/tentacles. At night under the moonlight the tips of these arms/tentacles glow green. There's what looks to be a possible little mouth in the middle of the anenome also and total the thing is barely over half a centimeter in diameter. Any clue to what this is?

thanks

Not without images. They can be any old Cnidaria with those descriptions, they arnt very "unique" to pin an ID too im afraid.

Some of my Morphs dont close. It doesn't mean something is dead when it doesn't close up. :good: Many coral species show flourescence, its not unique. Many use Blue LED's, Cold cathodes, Moonlights or Actinic to show off their corals fluorescence. Its quite remarkable, I love mine, I should try and get some pics. :good:

Fluorescence is the absorption of light at one wavelength and its re-emission at another

Phosphorescence is the glowing emission of light from absorbed radiation

Thanks I guess I'll have to read into it a bit more but sorry can't get pics, too small for my camera. The things aren't harming anything right now so I think I'll leave them and hope for the best. I do use blue l.e.d.'s and the funny thing is what I think is a tube anenome doesn't come out even with blue l.e.d.'s on, only time it comes out is when the room is pitch black?

Ok figured out how to post a photo here. After I took a pic of my snail I realized this came out ok so here it is. The red part glows orange, but only streaks not completely and the little tiny thing that you may not be able to see glows green only on the tips and stays out all day. I don't know if that helps at all or not but I thought I'd try.
