Hello all, this is my first post and I was just wondering if any of you know exactly how long talking catfish are supposed to live? My friend has had one for about four years now and can't find any age related information about him (his name is Krom). But it might be a girl because they are supposed to be chubbier. Thanks for the help .

They can live a verrry long time. I spoke to a chap in Peterboro'. Had one (and I saw it) that was over 15. A very good size it was by then too! I believe he knew of them living beyond 25. A long life in good conditions in other words! And planet catfish is sadly lacking in it's knowledge of this creature. They get a whole lot bigger then it indicates on there. Just incredibly slowly!His was 12+inches when I saw it.
