What are you feeding the catfish?

If they are in different tanks and the catfish are dying, then it is either something in the water or something they are eating.

Do a big water change and gravel clean each day and see if it helps. Stop feeding the food you are using and try something else.

Ugh, I'm so sorry that your fish started dying. It happened to me too. It is horrible.
