Strength Of Current

Out of interest, do yoyo loaches like a fairly strong current of water flow, because my filter pumps out water in 2 different places which can be directed, so i have one facing upwards to agitate the surface, and i was wondering whether i should bother directing the other current along the bottom of the tank towards the filter intake for the loaches!?!?!?

In the wild they live in calmer waterpool areas of highland streams.
