Nitrite is zero, ph 7.8, temp 77F.

Baby black molly (appx. 4 months) that has a
strange pink growth under it (where its rear
end is?). It is swimming slowly, and on the
bottom of the tank. It is normally very active.
Any ideas on what could be the problem?

Water changes: 20 percent every month or so.

Chemicals: aquarium salt on water changes,
stress zyme weekly,

Other fish: one adult black molly (the mom),
and 8 platys, one algea eater.

Tank size: 40 gallons.

Experience: less than one year.

Thanks in advance...
John

has it been eating? if so, what have you been feeding it? is the growth like a ball or other obtrusion or is it just a discoloration?

Thank you for the reply. The problem turned out to be an internal parasite that was forcing the intestines to rupture out the abdomine. Unfortunately, the little fishy did not survive. :( Thank you again for replying...
