Strange Mother And Fry Behavior

All fish of a particular species always seem to sleep in one place Fishblast. I have no idea why but it shows up as a common behavior over and over. It must have something to do with the fish's natural sleeping area in a wild situation where all of the parameters come together to say "this is where you should sleep".

Well, they don't seem to prefer the fry cage anymore as a sleeping spot they had before I added Pinky to the mix. Now they sleep on the side with the filter, but Eris is either in the middle of the tank or on the opposite end.

I like how they almost shoal when they're out for a food hunt though, they're so adorable. I saw this vid of wild swordies. Amazing:
