Strange mark on Featherfin Catfish

I noticed this morning that one of my two featherfins as a strange mark, that i have never seen before on any of my other fish....

It is the slightly smaller one of the two, and on his left hand side, as a small 'white line' about half an inch long. This is the only marking this fish has, it doesnt have a cotton wolly look to it like it could be fungus, and its not spotty like white spot...

i was just wondering if it could be a burn....i noticed that my heather was bobbing around this morning, and both of my catfish tend to lurk around the corner near the heater (its where there hidey hole is)....and just recently both of the catfish have been getting quite friendly with each other...

anybody got any ideas?

I would just add abit of melafix to the tank and keep an eye on the white mark, to see if it heals on it's own.

hey thanks, i asked my friend who works in the fish house at work and he said the same, he also mentioned that i should catch the catfish and apply some actually to the mark....what do people think of that?
