We lost power for 24 hours. I am now waiting to see if my tropical fish will survive the cold temperatures. It probably got down to 60° in the house. I have a fresh water community tank as well as 4 betta tanks. The wait is not fun.

Bettas will probably be ok at 60F, id be more worried about whatever else you've got.

put towels around the tanks and maybe a hot water bottle if you can?

Do you have a gas stove? That could be a good way to heat your home and the tanks.

We don't have any alternative heat in the house. I've tried wrapping the tank in blankets before, but that didn't help then. I have harlequin rasboras, jullii catfish, and otos in the community tank (40 or 44 gallons).
