Not sure if this should be in the breeding section or not, but... how do I STOP my SwordTails from making babies babies babies?

I'm trying to give away the babies now, but it would be good if they would stop coming really!

Is it possible?

Thanks!

for one, are you moving all the males? and two, the females can hold sperm and have babies two or three times from just breeding once.

Put something in there that will distrubt them or eat the babies as lunch?? OR jsut split the fish up!! Just my idea. Good luck to ya!

You can't. :p
Don't worry though, if you don't pay attension to the babies, the swordtails will eventualy eat them over time.

The rainbows seem to eat the fry when they are very small, but far too many
are surviving. The last fry must have been over 30 with some 20 survivors!!!

Is there something I could get which would do a better job of eating them when they are small, but not eat neon tetras!

I'm afraid quite a few are managing to grow up. I guess there is too much cover
in my tank, but I don't really want to rip out all my plants...

another thing you could do is get another tank and get an angel fish or two and feed them to the angel fish, the reason I say get another tank is because angel fish like neon tetras.

Hmm thats not a bad idea... the ultimate in live food... Doesn't solve my immiedate problems but it might be an excellent long term solution.
