stop fish messing up tank

Hi ive got 3 fish now that like to decorate my tank for me and make it look um...... not very nice they ruin my aquascaping, ive got gravel in my tank with 4 bigger rocks which they dig out and put the gravel to the fron of the tank and i cant see them is there any way of stoping them doing this besides taking out the big rocks ( i dont wanna creates teritories) btw the fish are yellow elects and a red zebras that are doing it, and they make a fair hole in a 2 days im talking the get to the glass

Why Not put in a small Stainless Steel Dish on the gravel. cover that with a little gravel.and they will only dig there as they will learn it is easier to se their reflections in the steel and dig thru the gravel.

I Used this with My large fisn in the pond and they loved it. every 2 days wouls poor more gravel onto it and they would dig it out.

Also the same thing works with birds. they love to dig in the gravel to see their reflections. Works with Waxbills and Finces IME.

i do sympathise with you we have 2 yoyos who are always out doing a bit of gardening( digging up plants!!!) the swines. havent found a way to curb their little greenfingered tendencies yet!!!

hehe definitly dont remove the stones as this fish likes hidingspots. the only way I have found too stop them from digging is to use a grain with to big "stones" for them too handle. However digging is their naturly behavior I think I have lost some of the fun by changing the gravel for the one I have now. So think about it a few times before doing it.
