Hey guys,

we recently bought a plant for the tank, but it keeps floating up to the top. i was wondering if it's possible to put some rocks in the little pot so it stays down??

If its already in a pot, you can always keep it down using rocks. But if its in one of those temp pots (looks like a cage), you need to remove this and the sponge & plant it in your substrate. You could use plant 'lead' weights to hold it down.

I wouldn't use lead waights cos it'll disolve in the water and lead isn't good for the fish. id just put them in the substrate and if they float then let them till they manage to grow some roots or something like that.

if it is a live plant in a pot take it out and burry it under the substrate. If its fake burry it in the substrate again and pack the gravel or sand tightly around it to keep it down.

The plant weights are no longer made from lead, they are just called that these days.
