4 Bolivian Rams
10 Black Neons
10 Neons
6 Polka Dot Loaches

Not a huge fan of Hatchets or pencils, but I'd love to add more neons, Rams and loaches of possible!

No roseline sharks; they get very big and need cooler temperatures than the other fish.

Alright! Might do a trio of red swordtails instead.

Can anyone suggest a pleco? I was thinking a long finned albino plec. How big do they get? Are they suitable?

A long finned albino bristlenose would do fine in your tank (and I'm assuming your tank is a standard shaped 55g; not some weird column thing!) and would grow to four or six inches.

Just make sure you know what it is your buying; getting the wrong kind can give you a lot of heartache, as everyone gets fond of their plecs, and it's terrible to have to try and rehome them, if you and up with an albino gibbi, or something like that :(

There are a lot of smaller plecs; there's a pinned topic listing most in the Catfish sub forum if you need more ideas or inspiration.

Awesome! Thank you!
I really just need something to clean up my algae. Love Ottos, but I know there sensitive and would probably be best to get them later. I kinda need something to help clean up pretty quick. :( Do Polka Dot loaches not eat algae?

The best thing for algae is a scrubber :)

But if you want a plec there are tons and tons of options. Leopard Frogs are nice and would work here as are King Tigers and Queen Arabesque.

The Red Swords sound like a good option as well :) - or you could try some kind of half beak? Think there are a couple of options there.

Sounding good so far though :)

Since I have the algae and room, I figure I might as well have something that gets some benefits from it :)
So...
2 Angels
3 Swordtails
4 Rams
6 Polka Dot Loache
8 Neons
8 Black Neons

Do Whiptail catfish eat algae?

Sounds good :)

And yes whiptails eat algae but not like clear a tank of it. But they do scrape the glass. There are a bunch of species though which ones do you like?

I have 2 species of Sturisoma and 1 species of Loricadia

Wills :)
