I got a 55 gallon tank.
2 Golden Angelfish
2 red Gourami's
3 power blue Gourami's
3 Rainbow sharks
8 little striped Danio's
1 little pink Danio
3 inch Pleco
a huge Apple Snail

There is one tiny baby Apple Snail romaing around and there are eggs on my filter, probably from the Angelfish.


If you are going to have live plants don't buy an Apple Snail. They will eat em. Crabs are escape artists so stay away from them.

I took a liking to Gourami's because of their colors and they are not too big and not too small. Definitly get a Pleco for janitor duty. Other than that take a walk through the pet stores and see what catches your eye.

This isn't exactly on topic, but if you haven't got your tank yet, I suggest you check our Petland Discounts. They always have a special on 55 gallon tanks and for around $89 you can get the tank and a good wrought iron stand. The hood and light is extra, but this is the best deal I've found anywhere around. The stand is big enough so that you can use the shelf underneath for storage or fit in a 30 gallon tank (hood an all) if you want to expand later on.
