So I've finally cycled my new 18g tank (yay!) and was planning on getting some fish in the next couple of days but I'm really stuck for ideas of which fish to get.

I realise my tank isn't that big so I wanna make sure I don't overstock.

Anyone has any ideas on which combination of fish I can get and how many of each?

Oops sorry! Did some testing today the pH is around 7.5

What are the dimensions of the tank, spazna?

61x31x46.5 cm

Its height is 61cm and width 46.5cm

So it's taller than it is long?

Oh sorry! It's the other way round, sorry it's been a really long day lol
It's a little bit longer than it is taller

lol, no worries; happens to us all!

If your water is hard, livebearers (guppies, Endlers or platies; most of the others, like swordtails and mollies get a bit big), rainbowfish (dwarf neons or Celebes; again the other species get too large for your tank) or some barbs (Odessa, checker or cherry) would be good choices.

hmm some microrasbora can live in high PH including cpds that can live in the 7.5 range, i wouldnt reccomend livebearers unless all male and as i stated in another tank platies do best in larger tanks IE 25 IMO.

Thanks for your replies! I think I'll pop down my LFS tomorrow and see what they have already and then make my decision :D
If I was to get dwarf neons or barbs how many can I get and can I get them along with guppies?
Also how many guppies can I get?
