Bettas do best on their own...10G is plenty
Oh, really? Okay. I read that neon tetras were fine with a betta. (In hindsight, I should've known better than to trust random "fish care" websites.) I really wanted just a betta anyways, but I saw an ad for a betta and 2 tetras in a 7.5g and my mind went off in the scenario of what I would have to do if I bought them.No to both. Male bettas are not community fish, and should be housed on their own in a 5 gallon or 10g, but not with any upper fish. Even aside from that, neon tetras are one of the worst because of their colour which does make some bettas irate, and their liklihood to nip the fins of a betta.
