I want to change my fish around. I have a 55g that I will be doing as my main community tank. It will have corys of coarse. I have ecco complete substrate and it is fairly well planted.
I would like to have a couple of angels. I also really like the different barbs and loaches. I was also thinking a few tetras (the blue ones) I think they are kerrii or something like that. Can you put all these things together?

What would work? I am trying to plan ahead to make sure I get what will work.
Thanks for helping! :good:

I've got four angels and have been told larger tetras would be ok, such as black skirt, but the little small blue and red ones (neons - are those the ones you are wanting?) will likely just become a snack.

I have clown loaches, gourami and Congo tetras with my angels. They have lived together for about 18months no problems whatsoever.

The tetra I want is solid blue. I don't know how to spell it, but it was kerii something. I don't know how big they are though. I just saw a pic ... they are beautiful!

Thanks :good:

I believe Tetra's are natural food for angels, so if you go for some, make sure they are a larger variety (ie Congo's as has been mentioned). You also want to watch out for fin nippers. You mention Barbs, what sort? Some barbs can be quite nippy. Saying that, I have some pentazona barbs which are just so peaceful, and I'd whole heartedly recommend them if you have plenty of plant cover (they can be shy).
