Stocking Plan

Heres my plan for stocking. Will it work? Its a 20H US gallon tank.

1 honey gourami
1 Bolivian ram
1 apple snail

i wouldnt add the ram with the gourami. the ram is going to be more aggresive than the others

Umm, I've never known of a ram to be aggressive to gourami. They occupy different parts of the tank too. The most aggression you get from rams (and this is rare) is chasing away bottom dwellers, and that's all they do, chase (excluding lip locks with other rams).

Stocking looks fine to me. I recommend you keep your tanks temperature at 25-26C.

I've gotta agree with Meguro.

My ram had never taken an interest in any fish other than other rams.

Stocking looks fine, though I would probably go for 26C over 25C

I was under the impression that Ram's and Gourami prefer to be kept in pairs?

Not enough for them to NEED to be kept in pairs.

It's not the same in the sense of, if you don't keep 5+ shoaling fish togehter then their health deteriorates.

But to an extent you may see more 'natural' behaviour from a pair as they interact with one another.
