I've gone and got myself a new 5 foot tank (93 gals) and i've been pondering what to do with it for the last few days. I've got to move over my existing fish (40 corys, 16 rummynose tetras, 3 bolivian rams,2 SAE's, 3 bulldog plecs) to the tank to get rid of my old one. But that stocking is going to leave it seriously empty.

So, i've been thinking about moving my 18 Tiger barbs into it that are currently in my 90 litre, not only that i've thought about upping the number to about 60....

I'll easily have the filtration with 2 x Tetratec EX1200's and i will be planting it up a little with quite a lot of vallis, ferns and crypts. So basically hardy plants which i dont have to go too bananas caring for.

I'd also like to get half a dozen clown loaches but thats just an idea at the moment, i got a feeling they would probably end up uprooting things when they get bigger....

Thing is, i really cant decide if this is a bit of a waste of a decent tank. With the Tigers i think it will be make an excellent viewing tank, they are so active and curious and they certainly wont hide away. But like i said, quite common fish. Bah :/

40 corys? which species?
60 Tiger barbs... thats a lot of fish, 60" of fish! then 40" (probably more like another 60") plus the rest of your fish...

What you have already sounds like a lot. I wouldn't be thinking about adding anything.

Forgot i posted this ;D

I've not bothered putting any more in, the stocking i currently have is spot on perfect.
