Stocking New 125 Gallon Tank

Deals like that are rare in my part of Canada. We can get good deals on 55 gallon setups and smaller, but 125 gallon+ setups tend to run $1000+ in my area. (with stand). Then there is the problem of delivery.

I bought a 55 gallon setup used, heater was garbage, tank leaked and I had to reseal it. Air pump bladder was shot and was too loud and no longer produced enough air.

I bought a 35 gallon setup used, filter leaked, heater was garbage.

I bought my last two tanks new. Used just aren't worth the hassle. At least if I buy new everything is under warranty.

I can't even find a used 220 gallon tank in my area, and the one I'm getting is marked down 40%.

I've been looking for used filters for months but haven't found anything near what I need, and used heaters are often junk. Our local fish group doesn't even allow the sale of used heaters at their swap meets anymore.

I thought my 48x18x18 tank was a steal I found on Kijiji for $50 with a standard metal stand but ya, its not easy around here to find large tanks for cheap they're all 700+ in classifieds

I got a 55 gallon with wood stand, working aquaclear 70, and a heater that keeps my tank at 25 when its set at 22, plus three large decorations for $175, and the guy delivered it. I had to reseal the tank, however.

But on Ottawa kijiji I've never seen a 220 gallon tank and most of the 125's are 1000+, and no delivery.

So I got it, they deliver it on Wednesday. I forgot to bring my camera, but I found two pics online, one of the stand, and one of the tank/cover/lights and I morphed them together with my fabulous Paint skills, lol.

Looks nice just be sure to put in 2 300watt heaters and go with something like the 2 fx5 filters.

I'm having the same problem finding a 2nd hand 8 foot tank (220gal) so I'm going to have to buy new. Just over £1000 ($1600 US)

This tank and stand was regular $1600 CAD, which is roughly $1600 USD these days, and it was marked down to $1000 for the sale.

I'm sure the 8 ft tank setups are even more expensive here. They don't even have one in the showroom at my LFS.

Thats a pretty good price you got it for... works out around £600.

No your unluckily to see a tank of that size (8 foot) in any LFS. They usually have to be custom made as mine will be.
