Well my brother has just gotten a 36 gal tank and cycled through for about 7 weeks. tested by myself and everything was okay. So now i am left with a 55 gal long tank to fill with whatever i want. :hyper: haha. cleaned and running smoothely and the waters perfect for sny freshwatter fish at 79 degress. i was wondering what i should stock up with. any suggestions? uhm no chiclids. thank you guys i am new to this site.

Hi alex and welcome to TFF!

Tank stocking questions usually get off the ground after you perhaps visit some shops and jot down notes on the fish you like or otherwise have ideas about what you think would be interesting or nice. A 55G is larger than many beginners have the luck of getting to start with so the choices available to you will be wider than some have. For instance, it'll be a bit easier to meet the minimum shoal size requirements that many species have and there will probably be greater than 17 inch height (?) allowing for angels or other taller fish if you get interested in that. Personally, the larger a tank gets, the more excited I get thinking about good planting and larger tetra shoals, which can have a great look, even from a distance in the room.
