Stocking List

i did think i was wrong... thats why i said correct me if im wrong.....

ever think of reading the whole post?

and if u get a tang anyway at least wait until ur tank is stable, a few months at least

oh dear im feeling previous arguments rising in this thread? Lets try and keep it on topic

kkyyllee, he's only trying to get feedback from people!

he likes feedback from his lfs more though, cant argue with that....

lets face it, some people only listen to the advice they want to hear. if you say they need a bigger tank he wont listen however, if you told him his 55 would be fine then he would be more than happy to listen. his lfs obviously has told him he can have one therefore they sound like a better option. hes getting defensive now because we are threatening his chance of keeping a yellow tang guilt free.

budde - you asked a question and people are answering it for you yet you dont want to hear. you need to understand that many websites simply carry faulse or misguided information on things. if you read a site or two that tells you what you want to hear, you accept this as gospel???? one would be a fool to do that. any page on any subject could, at any time be something of the authors experience only and is not the norm. a fantastic example of this was when i got my first bubble coral. i looked at many different website and they were listed as easy to care for, then somewhere else they were intermediate and then at other places, they were called hard to look after  someone has an experience, writes it on the web and makes their page look all pretty and professional, and next thing you've got everyone thinking that what this person writes must be true cause its on the net.

unfortunately i see the effects such sites can have. i have customers constantly arguing with me that im wrong because the internet says different. even though i may have owned that particular fish and know for a fact what they are saying is wrong, they refuse to listen only because it means they may not be able to have the fish they want just yet.

there is many years of fishkeeping and experience on this forum. it is, in my eyes, one of the only places to gain accurate answers to questions and information. learn from the real experiences and knowledge of people here. listen to people when they say that the fish may be swimming and eating therefore looking happy and healthy, but in reality it could be much different for the fish. could even contribute to a shorter life span. do you really want to put a fish in an environment that isnt favorable just so YOU can have a certain fish????
