Stocking Ideas For An 100 Litre

im stocking an 100 litre tropical aquarim this are the fish i want tell me wether to keep them or get a new type in the comments

1 dwarf gourmai

5 pepper cory

8 neon tetra

Depending on your filter and how well the tank is maintained (frequency and volume of water changes for example) I would say your tank is on the under stocked side. Obviously there's no harm in ever under stocking a tank.

Can I ask how you are planning to cycle the tank - please check out the begginers resource centre and read the articles on fishless cycling before buying any fish.

Make it 6 cories.

You may also find that neons are a bit iffy in a new tank - cardinals are less so, and are just a bit more colourful too.

To me, that looks fine and would potentially leave you with room for either a small plec, snails, shrimp, small shoal of very small fish or another small singleton (perhaps a girlfriend or two for your gourami) - but only once everything is settled and everything has been running without incident for 2 months or so.

what sort of plec would you recommend for my tank.

Find one of these that stay no bigger than 5 inches. I have a BN pleco and he gets on fine with my cories. I'd suggest though that you need wood, regardless of the species you get. They need it to aid digestion.

A Bristlenose plec would be very easy to get hold of I imagine and they grow slowly, up to about 15cm. Clown plecs are even smaller and therefore a good choice for a small tank, they eat bogwood and spend most of their lives hiding though!

You could have cherry shrimp, they are fab little critters, or amano shrimp which are slightly bigger, it is up to you. Any freshwater shrimp species would be fine but cherry and amano are the most commonly sold, the cheapest and hardiest.

ghost shrimp are actually cheaper most of the time, as its considered a "feeder" specie quite often.

A BN would work. Check the link and see if you can find any of the smaller varieties locally. BNs are at the top of the size that would suit your tank, I believe. A pitbull plec would probably be better.
