Ok, I was wondering what fish we could introduce to a few of our tanks, just to complete the tank?

The 55 gallon has 3 Leopard Bushfish/Climbing Perch and we were hoping to add some schooling fish or fish that would fill out the upper to mid-levels of the tank. I am finding the biggest challenge is finding a fish that is large enough that the perch won't eat.

The 10 gallon has 7 White cloud minnows and was wondering if there was any fish that would cover the bottom area of the tank? There is no heater in this tank as the minnows prefer cooler temperatures. The temperature in the tank is 73C.

The 75 gallon has 4 Angels, 10 Leopard danios ( I know they prefer a bit cooler temps, but they are doing pretty good. Breeding lots. ) and 3 Keyhole cichlids. We were hoping to had some type of fish that would inhabit the bottom area of the tank. I was thinking along the lines of some type of catfish other then cories.

I'm not nearly as experienced as some of the members on here, but this is what I'd do based on what I DO know. :)

I'm not familiar with Perch, so I googled them. Looks like they get to about 6 inches as an adult? I might go with Harlequin Rasbora or Rummynose Tetra. Both are known to school pretty well and look amazing in a tank. :) The Rummynose would add some nice color. You could even add a school of both since you only have 3 Perch in there right now.

I think you mean 73F? :) IMO, you're pretty well stocked with the 7 Minnows, but you could probably get away with a few Pygmy Cories. They only get to an inch (maybe a little over) and like cooler temps.

You could look at some German Blue Rams since you have some other Cichlids already. They get to about 3" and tend to inhabit the mid/lower levels of the tank. Mine seem to stay at the bottom most of the time. :) They do get a bit territorial when breeding though, if you got a pair of them, but with your tank size and enough hiding places, I would think it would be OK. You could also do some type of Pleco. BN Plecos are great and stay pretty small (in comparison to a Common). I'm not really familiar with a lot of catfish other than cories, so perhaps someone else will chime in if you are really looking for catfish.

If you are looking for catfish how abot the Hoplo cat?
They are lovely and peaceful and stay at the bottom, only coming up for air or to bubble nest

I'd switch the angels and the bushfish over. Then , with the bushfish in the 75 gallon I'd go for some giant danios or black skirt tetras.

If you can't swap them, then I'd go for around 10-15 black skirt tetras in the 55 gallon.

For the 10 gallon, there aren't a vast amount of options if it's coldwater. You could add 3 more minnows, and go for some cherry shrimp to add a bit of colour.

If you can re-home the minnows you'll have a few more choices like micro rasboros, female bettas, Endlers, guppies ect.

For the 75 gallon, you could certainly add more danios, but for the bottom, perhaps try a synodontis catfish? Or a Pictus? . Or maybe a big group of Khulie loaches, around 10 or so.

We may go with some Cherry shrimp for the 10 gallon if we come across them. The Cherry shrimp would add some nice color to the bottom of the tank. What would you suggest in terms of how many shrimp?

Blackskrits are nice, and I think they may be just big enough that the perches won't eat them. We really like the Rummynose's but they are a bit small, so they would most likely end up in one of the perches mouths haha.

We were thinking of something like pictus, just wasn't sure if they would stress the Keyholes out. As pictus are super active. We have seen some Banjo cats around here and we thought about them aswell. But knowing Banjos, we would most likely never see them once they are in the tank haha.

Well cherries breed rather well in most tanks so if you go with about 10-15 ( they have a low bioload so it shouldn't muck up your filter ) , with a bit of luck they'll breed. You can transfer the babies to one of the bigger tanks where they can either serve as food, or breed further and become a nice little attraction to watch in most levels of the tank.

Try looking in the species index for some catfish options. There's bound to be a suitable species for a 75 gallon.
