i dnt really want tetra's i find them kinda plain and boring no offence :).

nothing too big tho, i was thinking maybe 5-6 guppys, or 2 angel fish (dunno if too big) or some kind of Cichlid!

tell me wht you think guys, Thankyou for the help :)

Cheers
Tarannie

ps. having live plants.

thankyou!
any more suggestions?

what about the 2 angel fish or a few groups of small barbs?

thx again

If you want interesting fish get fish that shole or show schooling tendancies. (pardon the spelling :)

The first time I saw that is one of my most vivid memories I have of my fish, its great to watch. Problem is you need a fair few to do that, zebra danios may seem boring to you but at least they are small fish and will shole with 6 or more.

i was thinking maybe:

1 silver shark
3 ottos
3 dwarf corys
2 elegant corys
2 leopard corys

and some small tetras or somethong to schoal :)

this sound ok?

ok,

i changed the silver shark to a ruby shark they look better!

so ive got it in my tank, which looks a bit empty atm!

will the cory's i want be ok with the shark? coz i really like them! and will prolly get them.

I'm glad you changed your mind about the silver shark: they're schoolers and grow up to 14 inches! In other words, not suitable for tanks under 6-7 feet long. Preferably they should be kept a 10 foot tank.

I've kept a red-finned shark with a some cories in a 34 gal US. They usually got along pretty well, but if the corys got too close to the shark's cave, he chased them out immediately. So, I suggest you put the shark's cave/hideout in one end of the tank, that should give the corys more room in the other end.

thankyou for the info morrgan :)

do you know if danios get on okish with the ruby sharks? also its cave is at one end of the tank :)

Which danios do you mean? For example zebra danios grow to 2 inches and will do fine in your tank. The same goes for pearl and leopard danios. However, giant danios grow to 4 inches and thus too big for your tank.

Most danios keep to the surface of the tank, so they shouldn't get too much trouble from the shark on the bottom. Well, theoretically speaking anyway. ;) I haven't kept this particular combination myself, but I don't think it would cause trouble.
