Upgraded to a 110ltr tank about a month ago from a 54ltr.

Dont know if it's fully stocked or not and i know the numbers for some of fish arent ideal as they should be in groups and i could do with bumping them up but not sure if i should. Tank is fully cycled but i dont want to add anything else if it's too much. Ideally want to increase the numbers slightly of the fish wheres theres only one or two if i can.

Current stocking is;

1 x Dwarf Gourami
8 x Cardinal Tetra
5 x Five Banded Barb
3 x Peppered Cory
2 x Green Fire Tetra
2 x Harlequin Rasbora
1 x Black Phantom Tetra
1 x White Cloud Mountain Minnow

Also just wondering are Bolivian Rams compatible with Dwarf Gouramis or will they fight?

My initial thoughts with only nearly three months experience, is that you should seriously consider splitting these fish up into the 110l and your old 54l (seeding old tank using new tank's water for quick bacterial collonisation), then makes groups of 5+ for...

  • Peppered Cory
  • Green Fire Tetra (look like lovely Bloodfin relatives, very nice)
  • Harlequin Rasbora (may even need 7+ group really)
  • Black Phantom Tetra
  • White Cloud Mountain Minnow
If you moved the Cory to the 54l with say the Green Fires and the Cardinals, you might just get away with a Bolivian Ram pair in the 110l... But your priority needs to be letting your schooling fish have a shool.

Yes, as N0body Of The Goat said, the cories should have AT LEAST 5 of the same species. They also must be on a very smooth gravel but preferably sand. I've also heard that pea gravel works. Otherwise their barbels will be worn off.

I also think I read that gouramis should be in pairs but don't quote me on that. May want to post that question in the "Gouramis" forum.

You also might want to watch because some tetras can be fin nibblers, so you might want to make sure that the tetras you selected won't eat the fins off of slower fish such as the cories. Try askin the "Cyprinids, Characins and Atherinids" forum.

In your 110 you can have your cardinales, your cories and your barbs, as well as the gourami. Then choose one of the other fish and up their numbers to a real shoal. I would give the others away, or as said before, put them in your 54 litres. In case you want to run 2 tanks, I would put the phantom tetras in your 110 as they are the biggest of the shoaling fish.
