Hi all
Last weekend I started to set up my first tank which is 32 lt and cylindrical. There are two plants and two lebistes in the aquarium and it's been 5 days since I switched on my eheim internal filter and heater for cycling .
In many forums I read the water is to be cloudy after sometime but mine is still crystal clear.
I used Tetra AquaSafe to neutralize chlorine and other heavy metals in the tap water and used sera florena for my plants.
Here are my test results:
No nitrite or nitrate,ph somewhere between 7.5-8,
GH is close to 30°
kH is 12°

Do you think something's going wrong?

HiYa and welcome portisheader

Water will be cloudy usually from the gravel when you first set up a tank which generally settles down after a few days or at the end of the cycle period whan many tanks experience an algae bloom in the water....after the 4-6 wekk cycleing period...

Bit more info on cycling HERE

hth :)

You can get a bacterial bloom during cycling as said some do some don't....

I think it occurs when the benificial bacteria are multiplying very quickly.....

This could be due to a warmer tank or maybe the use of additives  ....

Those who have had a cloudy tank during cycling what temp where you at or did you use any additives? - just curious -_-
