We added a couple more plants and some bigger stones (not real big) and some bigish marbles for the babies to have a few extra hiding places...but they are stubborn, they dont wanna pop out yet lol...guess they enjoy staying in mom...I really though our REALLY chubby guppy was gonna pop last night but nope...and the other preggy one is catching up fast...anyway which they would hurry up...my husband says im a worry wart hehe

Just wait for few more days and mean while feed her some nutritious food. :)

Good luck... ;)

Do also consider that the newborn fry are extremely vulnerable to predation. Other fish -- including the parents -- will view newborn fish as food. The best thing you can do is add some floating plants. Hornwort is ideal. Resist the temptation to use a breeding trap.

Don't forget to read the pinned topics here to learn more about looking after newborn livebearer fry.

Cheers, Neale

gups seem to stay at avery large size for the last few days before the drop and its hard to predict when they will drop, when she starts to pant more than normal or hides near the top or bottom of tank then they are usually on their way. good luck with them, show us a photo im partial to the odd fry photo

theres an update called "im finally a granny" or something like that, she finally had them...but yeah thats exactly how she acted before having them
