Sticking Java Fern?

I see from other threads, that java fern can be glued to various ornaments, bogwood etc.
I have a 1.5" filter pipe (siphon for the fluval 406) that I'd like to disguise a bit. Has anyone tried sticking (or securing with bands) the java fern to such objects? Did it work out ok?

You need to check if the Java fern has the Rhizome, it is like a lump on the bottom with leaves coming out, if you dont have that it might be quite hard to grow. Tek oot.

As long as you can keep it from growing over the strainer, it should work just fine.

Moss would probably be a better idea.
