hi
I'm trying to put some type of wall of rocks in the tank but I cant make the rocks stick together I used hot glue it stick only dry they come apart when the soak :/
can a use super glue ??
will that harm the fish ??
or what do you use to stick things ??

Silicone is best, though it does take 24 hours to dry.

INSTANT OCEAN HOLDFAST EPOXY this is what I used, its not that expensive and is made for fish tanks. here is link http://www.aquariumcenter.biz/store/product/2573/INSTANT-OCEAN-HOLDFAST-EPOXY/

I use aquarium silicone, I made a ledge about halfway up my tank in my hexagon, it take a while to dry but so far none of my rocks have fallen off and its been a yr and a half.

thanks for the reply I'm going to try super glue maybe all try silicone too depending on the rocks that I want to stick to getter

Just look for superglue that has cyanoacrylate on the label and it will be fine :good:

I've read in another forum that Gorilla Glue works well? I have no experience with it, can anyone else shed any light?

I can second this, but there's a huge stipulation.

You have to let the gorilla glue cure and expand and turn to the hard plastic. And this takes time, for wood i let it Dry for a day and cure for 3 so call it 4 days total, on stone, ide give it even more time as stone is far denser than wood.

Far better off with the marine epoxy, its amazing stuff, and like WD said, and what iv been doing for a long time, super glue, then silicone the cracks and crevices for added durability (i usually don't do that unless its a must)

Good luck
