Sterbai Spawn

Finally! 3 of my 6 sterbais are going nuts tonight, i've got rid of my tiger barbs recently and decided to feed frozen bloodworm for the last 3 nights. The bronze guys spawned yesterday and now the Sterbais are laying rather large eggs in very hard places to get to! Quite easy to tell them appart from other eggs though being quite a bit bigger. As i wrote this i just spotted one laying two eggs on some vallis so i snapped off the grass and popped it into a pot. I highly doubt they are fertile though as this is the first time i've seen them going nuts and no T position yet.

Probably wont do any updates on these guys, still growing out my bronze ones at the moment and pondering a breeding project that doesnt include corys! Nice to see these guys spawning though, i got them well over 6 months ago from an MA store as a bit of an impulse buy glad there is a mix of boys and girls.

Errrm, what are you doing with them Tizer? If you get Sterbai fry, i would love some!

I have a new 250 sat on a stand, and all the bits to put it together, and the offer of enough media from 3 strong externals to fill my new one, and wanted these in a 2 ft till i realised it just want going to be big enough

I would happily post people on here fish if they cover the postage costs, i will have a crack at the sterbai's but not for a while, if they are going to be little tricksters and hide the eggs from me i'm less inclined to go a hunting! Its a big tank to hide em in Once they have had a few practice runs i'll probably pay a little more attention to them , most likely come the new year. That said i have my eyes on something which might change all that.
