Stealth Recall

my teachers one detonated a few weeks back. 150 lts of water cory and tetra went everywhere it blew pretty much the entire side of the tank out.

dang! glad i took mine out! it served me well for 2-3 years.

I recently took all 5 of mine back to PetSmart and they gave me a full refund. I bought some Eheim heaters for replacements.

I think this recall only applies to the pro series as seen in the link. In my experience, the original stealth is the best heater I have ever used. Mine has withstood years of being abuse out of and in water, and it still holds temperature steady. Does anybody have a clue how long this recall lasts? I dont really want to turn the ones I have in.

Oh, my gosh. I have one of those and had never heard about the recall. I am so glad you all posted the information and links.

The recall applies to ALL Stealth heaters just to let you know. I had the old models and took them all back for full refund to PetSmart. I didn't even have a receipt for a couple of them and they still refunded me.

No worries, just take it out and get a new one. I went with the Eheim Jager and so far so good. If you can't return it at the place of purchase, you can send an email to Marineland and they will respond quickly letting you know how to get your money back.
