Can't, don't want the sun coral injured just when it's coming out good. I've looked at borrowing one from someone, just for a few weeks but no one in the area has em.
I finally managed to get to the aiptasia, though the leather is now thoroughly annoyed, but the aiptasia is dead, so no chance of it growing up and hurting the leather.

Just got back from my afve petstore.
Can't say I like the employees there they cross examine me over everything because I'm 16, they seem to thick I want all these corals so I can keep them in a little FW betta tank.... All I asked was whether they could order a black sun coral in, and rather then answer they gave me along spiel about how hard they are to care for. All the time ignoring me and talking to Mum, Mum's wonderful but she isn't into all the technical detail, she likes having pretty fish swimming around but I handle her tank maintenace, explain stocking to her, help her choose fish etc, so talking about the exacting care a black sun coral needs doesn't do much.
All the employees talk to me like that because of my age and more then once they've refused to sell me something until Mum could confirm the size of my tank, its soo irritating.
But I did come home with 11 new snails, 6 more zebra tops and 5 black nerites. Also some awesome extra large tongs to replace my "pokey stick" which was what I'd been using to move coral etc on the bottom of the tank, also got a tonne of mysis coz they finally had it in and more brine shrimp with spirulina which are the two main foods the tank gets. Oh and an elite mini filter which was the smallest pump I could find to aim at the Torch coral.
We also checked out the coral as Mum wants to get me something really nice as I did absolutely amazingly on my half yearly exams. Theres was nothing extroadinary, what I really want is a black sun coral, but I can't find it anywhere.

Black sun corals are hard to come by here in the States, I can only imagine how tough it must be to get your hands on one in Australia.

LOl well I've loacated a few, but the problem is those who ahve them are in no way interested in selling em LOL.
Just heard from an online seller that they'll be putting a couple up for sale in the next few days, so may be able to get one there.

You know sometimes parents drive me mad.
So the heater has stopped working in the reef, normaly if something like that happens its no biggie, I just stick in my spare heater, but my spare heater was used to replace a heater which was exposed to air when my tank cracked. The heater exposed to air is still working, but theres no way I'm touching it, so I ask Mum to pick up a new heater for me on her way back from uni tomorrow, shes fine with it but Dad chucked a skitz, because apparently i just buy buy buy and theres no need to get a new heater as the old one (which he took off me when I'd been trying to throw it in the bin) works fine. He wouldn't listen to me either when I said that there was something like $250 of livetsock in the tank that i wasn't risking because a $15 heater was too expensive. Never mind half the stuff that i buy is for Mum's fish, as she's pretty much a computer illiterate when it comes to online stores.
Oh well, i just hope the reef is okay overnight, it's only at about 20 degrees right now, normally its at about 26, but its gonna ahve to last overnight as everythings closed at this time on a sunday night.....

Just a final update.
My Dad has chcuked a fit over my tanks, and I now need to shut down all but two of my tanks, sadly the reef is one of those tanks that must go, I have managed to keep my nano though. So these are the pics I've just taken to post it up for sale... I'm moving/moved the sun coral, torch and a blasto frag to the nano

I'm hoping to sell the tank itself for $250 and the corals and fish have individual prices which add up to $160, I will be keeping a lot of the liverock though, to add into the nano. I just hope someone buys it...

Well I've been contacted by a really nice LFS who have offered to trade my livestock for store credit, so then at least the lights on the tank can be turned off, and theres someone else who may be interested in buying the tank and LR but thats yet to be seen.
