VIDEO UPDATE!!!! I must say, my wife's lapse in judgment proved to be fun for me!!! Everyone that comes to our home loves the tank. Most my friends don't have tanks, and they all ways ask/think it's a salt water tank. The colors of my fish is incredible. The white substrate really brightens everything up. All is good so far. Still sexting, so any help would be greatly appreciated. I am looking to get proper ratios of male to female. Plenty hiding spots for all the fish. I also have two, 4 inch (100mm) petricola synodontis. They very rarely come out during the day. I am looking to add 2 or 3 more Petricola. I read they should be more relaxed in a larger group. Tank runs well. I am lucky, my area of the world my tap water is 7.8 to 8.0 Ph. Water stays very consistent with weekly 25 - 35% water changes. All comments welcomed, good or bad. Any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated.

If youre still looking for nice fish to go with pseudotropheus demasoni i would suggest other pseudos like p. flavus.
Just about everyone will tell you labidochromis caeruleus will be fine too. generally with demasoni in mind you want to be looking for smaller mbuna. if you can get your hands on any wild caught or f1 afras i cant reccommend them enough, there plenty of different colour forms from different areas, jalos in particular are stunning.

fish i'd avoid are big things like some zebras, agressive things like melanochromis chipokae, metriaclima lombardoi and pseuodotropheus socolofi.

it may seem absolutely crazy to you but species only tanks make excelent show tanks too. you could easily get 16 demasoni in a 75G tank.

as for catfish, syno petricola, polli, multipunctatus are all brilliant social catfish that wont hide in the dark all day. not bad at keeping snails down and general un eaten food eating.

if you want a pleco go for bog standard tank bred ancistrus, they are hard as nails and efficient algae eaters, you'd need four or five to make much of a different in you tank, the cichlids generally leave them alone.

I never had cichilids too, but your tank looks really nice for this type of tank.
