Have rigged up my Hagen glomat twin tube and have to say im not impressed. The one end of each tube seems loose, sometimes when i turn it on it flickers and goes off. It seems the connection on the ends are not secure enough. Anyone had the same?

Those Hagen Glomats are great IMO and what I use on my tank. Because they are an electric starter there should be no flickering when turned on, they should just turn on straight away. I'd guess you haven't got the pins on the tube pushed into the end caps correctly. On mine they are a very snug fit and are not loose in the slightest.

Ive pushed them in as tight as they will go but once i loose them they go off again. What do i do with the two black plastic tubes? They wont fit onto the end of the light as they are too small so i dont have them rigged up.

The hard plastic tubes that come inside the end caps are only there for transport to prevent the caps from becoming deformed. My end caps do take a bit of force to push on but once on they are a very snug fit and not loose at all. It then can actually require quite a pull to get the caps off again.

:/ i dont know then. i guess its force thats needed, unless its the tubes i am using

Not too much force though  I hold at each end and then push the end caps together so to speak. Make sure none of the pins on the tube are bent. Don't know what else to suggest.

hm ive tried that. I emailed the guy who said that the washers??!! hold the tube in. I emailed back asking what washers but havent heard off him since. I might have to tape it on :/

God im pissed off! Swapped my juwel crappy tubes that were in the hagen glowmat for an interpret triplus and an arcadia original. These are loose in the end caps as well! In fact the lights wont even come on unless i hold the ends tight. Whats wrong with it!

My Lights ar Arcadia and I can't get them to fit on very well,
the lights will randomly turn off when they become a little bit looser but I cant force them on anymore for fear of breaking the tube,

(no happy either)
