Be careful with the angels.. when they grow up, it is quite likely that one will abuse the other, unless they form a pair.

its a 120L tank i have ordered a new 300L tank that is due in a week..

Ill be getting another 4 angel fish and leaving them pair up so ill keep a paired and the rest ill give away to my mate.

Are danios and angels ok together they seem fine my angels hide in the plants as they are so small

They can live together, but they are probably making the angels nervous right now, so I would recommend a tall bodied tetra instead (a group of 10-15+, to prevent any potential nipping).

It might be a better idea to get the other 4 even now, so that they are more confident.

No, Zebra Danios are not a good mix with Angelfish on several levels..
  • Zebra Danios are temperate fish that should spend most of the year at less than 20C, while Angels are tropical fish that need a minimum temp of around 24C.
  • Zebra Danios are hyperactive little fish, while Angels are quite sedatory, which could well be unsettled by seeing zippy dithers swimming abve them.
  • Zebra Danios are water current addicts (upto ~10x true water turnover per hour), while Angels are more suited to low-moderate flow.
  • Zebra Danios' most critical tank dimension is length (ideally 4-foot or more), while for Angels this is depth (at least 18"/46cm of actual water) to accomodate their deep adult body/fins without stunting growth (shown by losing their classical triangular body shape).

As i said in my first post i might be swapping for the reason they are nuts. Are there any other fish out there like these that would go well something like neons orrrr??

Thanks for the help mate.

Rummynoses, Harlequin Resbora's, Glowlights, Cardinals, Neons...

Ill probally get Harlequin Cheers

Will it be ok to put these zebra danios in my shrimp tank?? Or is it a no no for the shrimp and the fry

Unsure mate tbh... Just try and rehome them then you're safe either way. Any chance you could trade them at the lfs for some HR's?
