squeeking kittens

I am not sure if this is normal, but my kitten Sadie squeeks instead of meow's.

None of my other cats have ever done that before, Molly makes some odd noises at times, but never squeeks.

Can she maybe not know how to meow?

I know a full grown male cat who squeaks. He's had ear problems recently, but I would think that's completely un-related. As far as I know, the squeaking has never really been a magor issue, and it's much quieter than a full blast meow!

my little girl josie seems to make chattering noises like a raccoon more than meow. dont know why but its cute.

when sadie and her sister romp around she just squeaks constantly. It's very odd.

My cats squeak, chirrup, scream, meow........ whatever gets the tins opened faster.... and when they play with their toy mice at 3am they sound like a flock of starlings, you wouldn't believe so much noise could come from 2 little furballs!

I have 2 scottish folds..they are know for their meow-less ness lol. They barely even squeak...but I guess that's what you'd call it though. Sounds like when you are trying to make a kitten sound yourself (as a human) and it comes out a sqeak...that's what my cats sound like...is that what your's is doing?

My momma kitty is a squeeker to, I dont think I have ever heard her meow, its all squeeks and chatter. Is your kittens purr working properly? I figure no worries since momma purrs non stop all day Sides a little squeek is so much less annoying then a yeowling cat any day.

Yup, that is what she does, especially when she plays.

Yeah she purrs, quite loudly actually.
