Spray Bar Questions

I can't open the lid because the SAE's are jumpers ... they'd be out and on the carpet before I knew where I was. I've even had a harlequin jump out of the tank so that's not really an option.
Last summer my tank hit nearly 30 degrees. I unplugged the heater and kept the blinds closed during the day time. My living room gets the full sun at around 1pm ... the hottest part of the day .. so it's difficult to keep this room cool on hot days.
 
It may not come to anything though. So far we've had about a week where it was about 24 - 25 degrees and then the rest of the time it's only been about 15 - 17 degrees with cloud and rain. 
 
Given what you've said I might try the spray bar in when I do my water change at the weekend and see how things go. Thanks a lot :D
