So this weekend I was "presented with an opportunity" (i.e. pretty much forced) to help a friend finally shoot a movie that he's been talking about for a while. Today was just the trailer, but still, he was really going all out with the bit of space we had and few people that showed up. I unfortunately got there early and was therefore relegated to duty of "Zombie number 1". After about 30 minutes of makeup.... I looked like this:
We had fun doing the shooting, I had a few mouthfuls of that tasty corn syrup concoction of fake blood, and managed to drool a bit in somebody's ear for a NICE effect We finally wrapped and I got off as much of the makeup as I could.... BUT....
This is what I looked like driving home
Believe me when I say people gave me some STRANGE looks. While we were out loading up some equipment, we had a stereotype reversal as a black man crossed the street to avoid walking near us Then on the way home, I was at a redlight beside this SUV with a very proper looking woman. I was picking at the fake blood in my eyebrows and my arm that was toward her was covered in blood streaks. When I happened to glance over her way, she had this priceless expression on her face trying to figure out what had happened to me, and as soon as we made eye contact her head snapped straight forward and she stared at that light until it changed. BAHAHAHAHAHAHA
I'll try to get some better pictures of my buddy and I in our full zombie outfit as soon as the other guy gets them off his camera and mails them to me
