OK.....currently running the 36" lounge tank with an UGF.......but thinking of having a change round in a month or so.

So I needed to get my other filter cycled.

I have connected it up to this tank. It is an Eheim 2215 Canister filter.................can you see where I have put it........

hummmmm........in a speaker?

 ......too easy then........

  to you both......

It is in an unused speaker........and although it does stand out in the picture..........you wouldn't really know if you just glanced round the room (or were a non-fishy person... )

:D :D

lol!!! :D doubt I'll ever see that one again...

thats great, just get another one and put it on the other side of the room so it looks right.

we have the same digi sat to you!!

very creative, good idea. did you hollow out the speaker, just put the shell around the filter? how did you do it? thats very interesting

I will take a couple of pics and put them in the DIY section.

Basically in this throw away age, we had a couple of old systems with Speakers.

I found that the Technic speaker fitted the filter exactly for height (3cm room at the top) and for width and depth with just about 5mm room either side.

The fishkeeping is a compromise between providing everything that they could want in their "world" and fitting in with ours, and as I hadn't built a cupboard under the table I wanted something that would blend into the room.

I originally planned on keeping the innards in the speaker, but they wouldn't quite fit, so I had to remove them.

The room is large enough so that the "spare" speaker isn't noticeable.

It was one of those ideas that might have worked.....and did...... :D
