Sponsors And Tff Specials

sounds like a good idea
More TFF for all!

I would donate if i could, but im underage and i dont have my parents consent or anything like that for a pay pal acount and therefore cant donate, but i will donate via my "knowledge" and "helpul posting" and staying out of trouble :p

This is a good idea.

Sponsorship is an excellent way of generating revenue and can lead to long and prosperous relationships for all concerned.

The tricky parts are fleshing out who exactly offers the best for the target audience and then formalising the contract. Having been involved in trying to obtain and orgainse sponsorship for my sports clubs I know what a pain in the bum this can be.

However, if there are companies actively seeking out sponsorship, half of the work is done!

Good Luck Will, and I look forward to seeing what comes from this! :good:

RC has extensive information and is an amazing resource for people starting up a reef. I rarely go there now and spend most of my time here. Why? Easy:

1) inability to access their search engine during waking hours, unless you plunk down $25 bucks
2) attitude
3) see number 1
4) see number 1

The advantage of using a forum on the internet is access to information. Ease of access is critical and I think that this is lacking on RC. I rarely go there now. Sorta like The Wizard of Oz: if your looking for happiness, sometimes you don't have to look further than your own backyard.

There is an option on this website that is disabled. If you click on 'My Controls', scroll down to options, and you'll see a link for 'paid subscription'. I wonder if this could be put to good use here....not making paying for a subscription mandatory, but, if made voluntary, could the funds be used for the betterment of the forum members. Just a thought. SH

why was the donation button taken off??

why was the donation button taken off??
It wasn't ever really a button. It was a thread that was only up for a few days to raise some money for a new board version upgrade. I think the money actually came in pretty quickly so William closed down the facility (because it wasn't there for him to make a profit ;) )

When you suggest a company can it be in the US?

the members don't go suggesting bussiness on there it is a place for people that contact william directly to post what they have to offer. but yes they could be US, UK it doesn't matter.

you know thats very good of him because he could really make a fortune from this site

i dont think this site is about making money, its about meeting, helping and getting helped by fellow fish keepers around the world :)

Somewhat similar to RC does, its owners are now very wealthy. (And not just because of them reportedly taking some photos from the forum and passing them off as their own for other things B) )

No I thought that you can tell a company that they can sponsor this website and if they want to then they have to talk to William, am I incorrect, because if so then I was just going to tell some petstores that they can do that.
