randomly looking on ebay and saw this. You people have probably seen it beofre but thought i would post it anyway. I'd be interested to know how this got past all the laws and regulations? Maybe it is different in America i don't know, are bettas a big craze out there at the moment? what with the vases and all...
They don't sell fish like this in England ...yet...

surely that space isn't big enough for a fish to live comfortably?

No, it is not big enough for a fish to live comfortably. However, as unfortunate and sad as it is, there are smaller homes for sale in the US. Lots of them. Bettas are a bit of a craze - people go to the store and figure they can keep their new couple dollar fish in a space barely larger than a cup. There aren't any laws regarding this, you can keep a fish in as small of a space as you want. Sucks, doesn't it. -_-

thats deffinitely now big enough and very sad :-( but, sadly, bettas are known as the fish that can live in small bowls, and i dont know how this started. i believe its very cruel to keep them in small bowl, and the smallest you should keep one in is 30gs... that would even be to small for a neon tetra in my opinion

there was a link posted before about bettas being sold in bag decorations. Liek a small pouch outside of the purse that you keep ur betta in

4 inches wide, by 8 inches tall..

better than a cup??

i dont think its THAT bad...

im not saying im gonna buy one, but its better than some of the crap ive seen

anything is better htan those little cups. But that thing is better than the product where live bettas were used as pouches in puses

You think that is bad on a resently trip to the mall we stumbled upon plexiglass shoes that you could put a betta inside and dance the night away. That was sick. What made me so angry was that they were the top seller and the latest crazy according to the store's assistant. I assure you these are the small people that leave their dogs chained up in the back yard without shealter when it's 40 bellow (Cel.) and without water all day in the middle of summer.
*Sighs... it just goes to show you people lack common sence and intelligence over 10.

last month i bought a hex for my bill and he hated it all he did was sit at the bottom and try to eat the plant. It's making the fish depressed. Thes such a small amount of water and so much stress as seeing everything that goes on around the room. I'm not even going to mention the little kids that have betas. My 7 year old sister bought bills brother biran and i told her to give it 4 pellets. I come in the next day and oh my god... the hex i had for bill, brian was in for the night and the water was pure poopy brown. I asked her how much she put in she said 4 big shakes... i stole him away.

Yeah, I went to PJ Pets today and I saw a whole stack of those tanks on the shelf.. its so tiny, its smaller then a BettaHex for god sakes. And there bettas weren't looking too healthy either in those tiny cups.
