Splitting my 5 gallon tank

I just divided my five gallon to add another betta. I just bought a kit from Petsmart for under $10 that you cut to fit. The divider already had lots of holes so I didn't have to get another filter. It works really well. No using sealants or drilling holes. It can be removed if I decide to later on.

Fishy3 what was the name of it and how did it work?? Are there suction cups or what? Thanks!

The kit comes with two guides you clap on either side of the tank. Then you slide the plastic divider down in the two guides. You can cut the guides down to fit as well as the plastic divider. It was pretty easy. I don't remember what the name of it was, or the brand name.

You can also use needlepoint canvas. If you're just dividing a 5gal tank you can get all the canvas you need for about one dollar. They sell it in craft stores, it is really cheap, it is very easy to cut, and it has more holes than you'd ever need. I use it in my tank and it works wonderfully.

I have it buried in the gravel and then it kind of fits underneath a lip at the top of the tank. Some people do other, more complicated things, but it stays put in the gravel. If you're having problems you can probably use some decorations to keep it in place as well.

Hmm now i have plenty of choices to think about haha..Thanks everyone!!
