Ok I have my fire eel that I have been having since he was 3inches long till now 6" inches I've had him for 5 maybe 6 months now, and my tyre track eel that I've had fir 3months now since he was 4 1/2 inches long now he's 9 inches or 10 and really fat my 125 gallon broke from the lower right corner so now both eels are together and my tyre track eel is picking on my fire eel, my fire eel hasn't eaten much like maybe some but not as fat as he used to be? I can only house one right now and my tyre track I trained to eat live feeders so that's wat makes me want him and my fire is more wimpy doesn't like earthworms nothing except blood worms he is soo nice he won't even bother a ghost shrimp ?
Which should I get rid of??

it's really your own personal choice.

Just out of interest, why do you feed live fish? And are you in the UK or the US?

My daughter loves her tyre track eel she calls him her
wall-E well she says olly lol I think it would be selfish of me to get rid of her eel just so I can keep mine?

I'm in US, well I kind of have this thing for predator fish I think their incredible and I just love how they prey it's only once a month that he gets 3 feeder guppies?
Can I ask you something??

fair enough......it's a bit of a legal 'minefield' to do that here in the UK, but apparently it's fine in the US.

it sounds like they are not the only part of the eels diet then? Which is good as only feeding 'feeders' can cause problems with the fishes health.

Really? Why is feeding fish to fish a problem there? It's common practice here in the U.S. I was sales manager for a major tropical fish wholesaler, and we sold about 15,000-20,000 Comet Goldfish a week for that purpose. Common Guppies too. Also, what problems could it cause with the fishes health? Are you worried about introducing diseases? I always thought the best food for fish was fish. Over many years working with large numbers of tanks and feeding feeder fish to several of them every day, I don't remember a single instance of disease traced back to the use of feeders. Not trying to be combative, just curious. :)
