I just noticed that the pinned topic in 'New to the Hobby', 'Reccomendations For A 10 Gallon' has a spelling error.

It should read 'Recommendations ..................'

Am i just being picky now? I don't know.

ah back to tropical homer, you're not picky, your just a perfectionist like me :)

Well noticed- we are obviously very happy to make changes like these, and so if you notice any more please do flag them up!

Ok, this has been bothering me for a while... There is an "Arts & Crafts, and photography" forum. It should be "Arts, Crafts, and Photography"

Phew, glad I got that off my chest.

EDIT: Ok, if "Arts & Crafts" is one phrase, then at least remove the comma before the "and photography"

Your sig has a spelling error...

no. it should either be Arts, Crafts and Photography or Arts and Crafts and Photography.

Correct use of commas please :D

Pedantry ahoy! :D :D

What have i started..........................................

Lol @ mardy...

I wouldn't expect someone who has been bothered about a misplaced comma 'for a while' to display a spelling mistake with each and every single post they make.

 It's just a quote xingumike. Give it a rest. I know there are errors in it, but for the sake of keeping it her quote, I haven't changed it.

Agreed there is no use for a comma before the 'and'.

Now I want to find a spelling mistake...

I would rather it was "Arts, crafts and photography" as although "Arts and/& crafts" is considered a phrase within itself it would sound weird.

Edit: Ok, this is just getting ridiculous, but I have to laugh at this:

What's that you were saying? Oh you mean you're a perfectionist :p

Just kidding around

actually I don't see any problem with it being written as "Arts & Crafts, and Photography". The comma simply separates the arts & crafts from the photography and differentiates them as two different subjects, ie: Arts & Crafts being one category while Photography is the other.
They could change it to Photography and Arts & Crafts but they would have to use the & symbol rather than and, otherwise it would look funny, ie: Photography and Arts and Crafts. And that doesn't read right either. It makes it look like three subjects, which it is but I think the administrators where trying to have Arts & Crafts as a section and then added Photography to it.
