Spawning Plants

My cherry barbs have been spawning and I am not going to take out the eggs but want to add some live plants so hopefully I might get a few survivors every once and a while. I was wondering if there were any plants that cherry barbs particularly like or that would do a good job at hiding eggs and fry.

Java moss is probably your best bet, does great in low light, most conditions are fine. My platy fry hide in it all the time.

 

[Lateral Line]

Java Moss is a good choice, but pretty much anything that affords some cover will be better then nothing. In a small tank however, the chances of raising barb fry with the adults present is not great.
