I'm sure that those aren't first generation pk/ct's. Mrplaty if you have the patience to really, really work a line then it could be fun. There's a lot of trial and error to get there though.

The half moon plakat was actually a cross with hm/hm male black male copper/gold, female red halmoon, so some where their was a plakat cross the ct also had the same mother so the ct is on her side, they are infact all hm crosses hm plakat with the red mother...........so i would say possible all plakat half hm half ct......

You do the hokey pokey and you turn yourself around, that's what it's all about.

If you can get a male halfmoon plakat with many rays like 8 and breed with a good true crowntail female (have to know who is the breeder), sure you will get some very great nice plakat-crowntail babies. :) I just talk to an indonesia breeder and he is doing an orange line plakat with crowntail too. :) So they are under process. Why they do this because of getting new type of bettas into the market. As you know, betta is very slow now and they are creating new type of betta cross to keep going with the sales. :) As for now, orange betta is in hot seat and you can see from aquabid what sales and what not.
I am still curious with my red chilli suthaisine halfmoon male with Wasan's copper gold female crowntail. They started to have colors now and I can see two to three types of colors. Will take some pictures soon so guys be patient. It will be real fun to see the final outcome. :) They are still small. I think I have at least 35 babies. three days ago, one of the bigger baby just dead. Maybe choke after eating brine shrimps??? Water is great. No air bubbles. A lot of plants.
