Spawning Corals?

The other morning I came down and to my horror my tank water was very cloudy, alnmost milky. At first I thought the worst of is and somthing had died. (firefish did die but not untill later) All the livestock was fine so I ran carbon and cleand the skimmer to get it working at optimum efficiency. and all was fine by the time I got back from work.

Reading today online I have found a site about spawning events in tanks with some pictures and I'm thinking one of my corals may have spawned

Could this be true???

Absoloutely. Its becoming more and more common in modern reefs to have coral spawning events. Sounds pretty similar to what you described too

Agreed. I had a coral spawn. Some say its good, others say its bad. It ofcourse will playhavoc with your water quality, so its best to treat the tank like you did immediatly. The chances of anything coming about from the spawn is minimal.
