Well I'm finally doing it!

I put the male in the 5 gallon breeding tank and the female in a bowl right beside him!

They both went nuts at first, flaring like no tomorrow. I'll leave them like this for a couple hours and then put something in between them so they won't see each other. They've been fed nothing but frozen foods for the past two weeks, and a couple of small pest snails i managed to catch

Tomorrow I will let them see each other again for a couple hours and probably Friday after noon I will let them have a go at it, and then see what happens on saturday!

Day 3
I put the female in a clear cup inside the breeding tank

the male is going crazy and the female flared back a little bit but she mostly ignores him
still no bubbles nest
