I am now curious too. I use Stress Coat. It was the only thing my LFS had.

Try the Prime, it's very concentrated, you only use 1 ml/10G (US)
No other need for anything else, I feel the less chemicals we use in our tanks, the better

As expected, the gourami was dead this morning. He definitely had quite protruding eyes. Is that also a symptom of poisoning?

Bulging eyes can be poor water quality or an infection in the head. Big daily water changes and gravel cleaning for a week should fix any water quality issues and dilute any disease organisms that might have contributed to this (assuming they did).

Another thought I just had is that I've started feeding live grindal worms about three weeks ago. Could this be related?

grindal worms are pretty clean and rarely cause problems to fish because the worms are grown in potting mix or peat and don't have water born diseases

Hi Colin,

Bad news. After another water change last night, I found a CPD dead this morning. I've attached two pics and noted read streaks in addition to the red gills, I didn't see that in the tank. Google gave me hemorrhagic septicemia, sounds horrible. Or are the red streaks something that could have happened during decomposition at night? Salt is 1 tbsp per 5 gallon/20L.

Any advice?
