I've decided to go for a South American themed tank. My tank is a 210 litre tank dimensions 100x40x50 cm.
I recently lost an angelfish I was hoping to breed them but have decided to go a different route now and just add some schooling fish.

The stocking is:
1 GBR
1 Angelfish
5 ottos
2 bristle nose plecs

I'm just wondering what people would recommend as a good/interesting schooling fish from SA and whether some corys would be able to fit comfortably?

Thanks for any replies,
Axy!

Rummy noses, Buenos aires, flame tetras, black phantoms. There are plenty out there to chose from. Look for fish in the 2-2.5" range so that they are too big to be eaten but will not overstock the tank. I would avoid cories to reduce competition for food at the lower levels of the tank.

Rummynose tetras are beautiful, as are diamond tetras.

I think some corys would be fine but not 100% sure.
*Edit* Didn't see Wrightt's response til now

Most tetras would be suitable, but steer clear of serpaes and black widows, as they can be nippy.

Do check up on any species before you buy though, as tetras vary a lot, in both size and character.

I agree that cories as well would be pushing it.

Thanks for the suggestions! I was keen on rummynoses but didn't know of they would be
Ok with Angela. Ill research the others, it's just frustrating not knowing the proper colouring when I go to the LFS as some look really bland. Ill go for a school of around 10-14 depending on which one I go for.

Ill leave the corys then I just wanted to ask and check. :)

I think it's going to be rummynose. 12 of them of them and MAYBE another angelfish in the future if
I find a good example. :)

Yay! They're so pretty. Be sure to put up pics when you get them :)
